Overview
The Arab Union for Combating Forgery and Counterfeiting operates under the umbrella of the Council of Arab Economic Unity of the League of Arab States. It conducts research, publishes scholarly work, provides advisory services and hosts scientific meetings on every issue related to combating forgery and counterfeiting, in both its broad and specialised sense, for the public and private sectors. The Union promotes transparency, integrity and justice, studies ways to reduce and monitor risk factors, works to counter them and limit their spread, and pays particular attention to prevention, which has become an urgent necessity for individuals and society alike.
Through its vision, mission, strategic plan and future ambitions, the Union works through committees and programmes, joining forces with and supporting those engaged in combating forgery and counterfeiting at the local, Arab and international levels.

Under the presidency of Ambassador Ahmed Abbas Al-Hasani, it has further benefited from his mediation, partnerships and wide-ranging relationships with the sovereign institutions of the Republic of Iraq, which facilitate investment and the signing of protocols with bodies that have committed their full capabilities to a better future for the Arab world.
